“So Disrespectful,” Vin Diesel’s Bold News on Fast & Furious Leaves Fans Raging

Fast & Furious 11: A Surprising Return and Emotional Debate. Vin Diesel has confirmed that Fast & Furious 11, the final chapter in the franchise, is set for release in April 2027. Speaking at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California, alongside co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker, Diesel shared three conditions he gave the studio:

bring the story back to L.A., return to street racing culture, and reunite Dom with Brian O’Conner. The third condition shocked many, as Paul Walker, who played Brian, tragically passed away in 2013. In Furious 7, his remaining scenes were completed using CGI and body doubles—his brothers Caleb and Cody.

Diesel’s comments suggest a similar approach might be used again. Reactions have been mixed. Some fans criticized the idea as disrespectful, saying Paul should be allowed to rest in peace. Others supported the tribute—if done with the family’s blessing—believing Paul deserves to be part of the franchise’s ending.

Some suggest Cody Walker take over the role, while others prefer CGI, as long as it’s handled respectfully. One fan noted, “As long as it’s with the family’s permission, I don’t think it’s wrong. Paul was part of the heart of this saga.”

While many details remain unknown, Fast & Furious 11 promises nostalgia, emotional weight, and the return of the original themes that made the franchise iconic. Life often takes unexpected turns—and so does the story of Fast & Furious.
